Venezuela promotes products in Worldwide Symposium on Geographical Indications

The Worldwide Symposium on Geographical Indications is organized every two years by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), bringing together representatives of national administrations, producers of GI products and GI specialists.Given the current global pandemic context, the 2021 edition of the Symposium will take place entirely in online format. Its Virtual Exhibition on Geographical Indications is publicly accessible until March 6, 2022. The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to discover geographical indications from different countries of the world. Venezuela's exhibition is focused on its GI's Cacao de Chuao, Ron de Venezuela, Cocuy de Pecaya and Cocuy Larense.
The symposium also provides a forum for exchanging ideas and perspectives on issues relating to the use and protection of Geographical Indications. It also offers technical insights and information on recent developments in the field.
