A New Platform for the Development of SMEs

The platform 'PyMes al Mundo' (PAM) was officially launched on August 25, 2023, as a collaborative initiative between the International Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (ICC), the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) and Mercado Libre.
PAM is a digital platform offering a range of tools, including business contacts between companies worldwide, access to global trade networks (such as ConnectAmericas from BID and Pymes Latinas from ALADI), technical assistance, and information on the latest international market conditions (standards, regulations, requirements, norms) provided by leading global organizations (WTO, WCF, ITC, WIPO), training offered by international entities like the ICC Academy and access to high-quality international business meetings (organized by entities such as IADB or ALADI).
The platform will be managed by a professional team that will coordinate the tools, evaluate the commercial opportunities offered, and facilitate connections between companies, organizations, and institutions.
The launch involved remote participation from executives of all participating institutions, spanning Europe, Latin America, and North America. The platform was demonstrated, and various modes of access and utilization were explained.
Access to promotion and finance remains a challenge for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Argentina. It is a particularly acute problem among newly created SMEs.
