By Bufete Mejía & Asociados

The meeting was organized jointly by the Central American Stock Exchange (BCV) and LatinFinance, a high-level global platform that provides unique information on the financial markets and economies of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Honduras was host for the second time due to its strategic importance for the region and its need to explore growth opportunities and strengthen relations between the government and corporations, financial institutions and investors.
“For the Central American Stock Exchange, it is crucial to be able to get involved in this type of initiatives and organize this meeting in the country”, said Edgar Maradiaga, president of the BCV in Honduras. He added that Honduras faces challenges such as poverty reduction, economic growth and social inclusion, which need to be address, among other tools, with investment opportunities.
