多米尼加共和国斥资7.6亿美元建设港口和自由贸易区

多米尼加共和国政府与全球物流公司迪拜环球港务集团（DP World）签署了一份谅解备忘录（MoU），拟投资7.6亿美元扩建考塞多港及其自由贸易区。该协议由多米尼加工业、贸易和中小微型企业部（MICM）签署，概述了提升港口吞吐量和开辟更多土地用于工业发展的计划。
拟议的扩建将使港口的吞吐量从250万标准箱（TEU）提升至约310万标准箱（TEU），并开发码头附近的225公顷土地。这笔投资将分别用于：3.8亿美元用于港口基础设施建设，包括码头扩建、设备升级和物流系统改进；另外3.8亿美元用于自由贸易区建设，包括新建道路网络、仓储设施以及商业和营销中心。
迪拜环球港务集团目前运营考塞多港的海运码头，并管理其相关的自由贸易区。考塞多港已发展成为加勒比地区重要的转运点，并日益成为物流和制造业的枢纽。
据估计，此次扩建将使年货运量增加30万标准箱，吸引高达39亿美元的外国直接投资，并且有可能增加制造业产出和就业。
