The ceremony will take place at the famous school Institut Paul Bocuse, in Lyon, France, and will mark a high in Abarca´s prestigious career.
It will also be the start for a plan to establish Nicaragua as a cuisine destination for gastronomic tourism. "We are looking to position Nicaragua as the new world cuisine destination. To create a food model that generates employment opportunities through the gastronomic tourism", said Abarca, the leader of this government initiative.
Nicaragua has a long and diverse culinary tradition, which includes a mixture of the indigenous Miskito people, Spanish cuisine and Creole cuisine, and which differs on the Pacific and the Caribbean coast.
According to Abarca, local restaurants are already "strategically located" in circuits which in the future will help to create a national gastronomic route.
"Our national project envisages the use of this facilities that, added to haute cuisine techniques, would unite in a extremely confident proposal to the tourist".
