Adidas sues Thom Browne for trademark infringement
By Ferraiuoli LLC
Adidas sued Thom Browne for trademark infringement in a New York federal court claiming its selling athletic-style apparel and footwear featuring two, three, or four parallel stripes in a manner that is confusing similar to Adidas’s three-stripe mark.“Despite Thom Browne’s knowledge of Adidas’s rights in the famous three-stripe mark, Thom Browne has expanded its product offerings far beyond formal wear and business attire,” the lawsuit states.
In a statement issued to WWD, Thom Browne, a New York City-based menswear and womenswear brand, responded to Adidas by claiming they’ve cooperated and “acted honorably” the entire time.
