Agreement between Argentinian authors and Spotify for podcast copyright

“Authors who have their works on said platform and are part of Argentores will be able to receive royalties for their rights. Argentores continues to work to reach new agreements with other podcast platforms”, the institution stated in a press release.Recently, Spotify stated that it wants to help creators better understand the ever-evolving copyright landscape and provide the necessary tools and resources for rights holders to ensure they are fairly compensated and their content is protected.
The agreement signed with Argentinian authors is the first of its kind in Latin America. Argentores is a civil association for the collective management of copyright, with a mutual and professional nature, made up of theater authors (playwrights, choreographers, musicians), film, television, radio, and of all audiovisual platforms.
