Mexico reported on the agreements reached with India to produce vaccines and medicines in the country. The negotiations will lay the foundations for boosting national production over the next ten years, according to Government officials.Mexico is mainly working with various institutions in India to produce vaccines not only for COVID-19 but also for other diseases such as human papilloma. Medicines such as insulin, which is almost 100 percent imported, immunotherapies and cancer drugs will also be produced in Mexico.
The opening of a Mexican consulate in Mumbai, which is where the headquarters of most of Indian health institutions are located, simplified the conversations with India.
