Argentina achieves rapid trademark registration milestone
By Estudio Chaloupka

Argentina has taken a historic step in the field of industrial property through a system that modernizes the trademark registration process, with the aim of simplifying procedures, reducing timeframes, and providing greater predictability for entrepreneurs, companies, and productive projects across the country.
The new scheme operates in a clear and efficient manner: once a trademark application is published, a 30-day period is opened during which third parties may file oppositions. If no objections are submitted within that period, the mark becomes eligible for registration, replacing processes that previously could take several years.
Early experiences with this system are already showing tangible results, confirming that it is possible to grant registrations in significantly shorter timeframes.
With this initiative, Argentina is streamlining its processes and positioning itself at the forefront of trademark registration, aligning with the efficiency standards required by current challenges.
