Argentine music legend accuses Bruno Mars of plagiarism

"What's the name of the one who robbed me? You owe me 3 million dollars!", claimed García, considered one of Argentina´s Rock and roll and Pop icons, during an April interview with Billboard magazine.
Then he argued that "Uptown Funk" was "inspired" by "Fanky", a song of his fifth solo studio album, "Cómo conseguir chicas", edited and produced by García in 1988. "I will send you the riff, the bass, because in fact he stole me two parts," García said during the interview. "He even stole me the house, because I used to live in Greenwich", he added ironically in reference to the New York City neighborhood where the music video was filmed.
"Uptown Funk" was recorded in 2014 by British producer Mark Ronson and Mars. The song won two Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, and spent 14 consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
