Argentinian Angus Beef: A Country Brand of Quality and Flavor
By Estudio Chaloupka
Argentina, a country with a rich history of cattle farming and vast pampas grasslands, is renowned for its Angus beef, one of the most sought-after beef types in the world. It is exported to over 100 countries and now will carry the Country Brand seal, a recognition of its exceptional quality and flavor profile.
In 1994, the Argentine government implemented a rigorous certification program for Angus beef producers to ensure that the meat meets stringent quality standards. In September 2023, this process was strengthened with the signing of an agreement for certified Angus beef to bear the Country Brand seal. This seal encourages Angus producers to showcase their finest products on the world stage, attracting foreign investment, boosting tourism, and increasing exports.
What Makes Argentinian Angus Beef So Special?
-Sustainable Farming Practices: Cattle are raised in a natural and sustainable manner, allowing them to graze freely and develop rich flavors and textures unique to the pampas.
-Nutrient-Rich Diet: These cattle are fed a diet of high-quality grasses and grains, resulting in meat that is not only delicious but also high in protein and low in fat.
-Traditional Meat Processing: Traditional methods are employed to process and age the meat, ensuring that it remains tender, juicy, and packed with flavor.
