Bolivia's Intellectual Property Office Partners with Blockchain Chamber
By PPO Indacochea

Bolivia's National Intellectual Property Service (SENAPI) has signed an Institutional Cooperation Agreement with the Bolivian Blockchain Chamber (CABLOCK), marking a significant step toward integrating emerging technologies into the country's intellectual property ecosystem.
The partnership aims to establish a collaborative framework focused on knowledge exchange, guidance, and training around blockchain technology and its potential applications in intellectual property management processes. Under the agreement, both organizations will engage in advisory activities, technical working groups, and support for pilot projects, with innovation and institutional improvement as core priorities.
The agreement reinforces key principles such as confidentiality, information security, interoperability, and technological sovereignty, ensuring that SENAPI retains full ownership, custody, and control over its data. Importantly, the accord involves no financial commitments between the parties, making it a purely collaborative and technical initiative.
The agreement will remain in force for three years, during which both institutions plan to strengthen capacities and modernize processes, with the broader goal of building an innovation ecosystem that benefits creators, entrepreneurs, and institutions across Bolivia.
The signing took place in La Paz.
