British Embassy promotes investments in Guatemala
The Department for International Trade of the British Embassy in Guatemala concluded a series of conferences with the aim of bringing investments to the Central American country.

More than a dozen British businessmen who participated in the country agreed on the opportunity to invest in Guatemala, due to several factors such as the “feasible" legal conditions that exist in the country and United Kingdom's exit from the European Union.

The British diplomatic delegation analyzed multiple areas of the Guatemalan economy- such as water treatment, civil engineering, business sustainability, solar energy and community development- which were defined as “fundamental” to improve Guatemala's competitiveness and sustainable development.

“There are many investment opportunities because Guatemala is the largest economy in Central America”, said Daniel Boernser, general manager for Latin America of Biwater, a British company that provides large-scale water and wastewater solutions. “Tools like the public-private partnership modality have facilitate investment”, Boernser added.
