Central Bank of Honduras, first entity certified with electronic signature
By Bufete Mejía

The electronic signature was approved in 2013 by the National Congress of Honduras, creating an instrument that develops trust between its users and designs a legal framework for commercial transactions through technological mechanisms. It reduces costs and time, eliminates the use of paper, simplifies procedures and ensures the confidentiality of the information, complying with high security standards because it is elaborated under mathematical coded mechanisms.
The General Directorate of Intellectual Property of the Institute of Property is responsible for granting, registering and controlling the entities that want to use an electronic signature.
