Chambers and Partners recognizes BKM’s “top-tier expertise”

International ranking Chambers and Partners identified BKM | Berkemeyer as the best IP firm in Paraguay, with clients recognizing the firm’s “top-tier expertise across the IP spectrum” and its “market-leading reputation both locally and abroad”, stating “they have a good reputation absolutely everywhere”.

Chambers and Partners Latin America 2018 guide ranks firms and lawyers across the region in bands from 1-6, with 1 being the best, based on technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence and commitment.

BKM was named to band 1 because of a “stellar IP practice renowned for its deep bench and long-standing expertise in trademarks, copyright, patents, domain names and licensing”, with an active team in diverse sectors such as pharmaceuticals, technology, food and beverage and entertainment. The ranking also highlighted the firm’s experience in franchising, litigation and portfolio management, and its “impressive” national and international client roster.

Partner Hugo Berkemeyer and Department head Bárbara Dollstadt were also named in the lawyers band 1. Berkemeyer is highlighted by clients for the "very good quality" of his expertise in trademark and patent portfolio management, while Dollstadt
is noted for her dedication to her practice.
