Changes in Central American Single Declaration for Customs

In order to facilitate regional trade and continue supporting the transformation of Central America through the use of new technologies, the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) approved Resolution No. 410-2022, which establishes that from April 1, 2023, exporters will pay $3.00 for each DUCA-F that is electronically transmitted through SIECA's computer platforms.
The Central American Single Declaration for Original Merchandise (DUCA-F) is a highly available technological tool that offers intuitive, efficient, traceability and secure services to the end user.
“This contribution is aimed at maintaining the technological platforms to support regional trade, and does not imply a substantive change in the transmission process,” SIECA stated in a press release.
To make the $3.00 payment, users must register for a single time to create an account on a SIECA digital platform.
SIECA is the technical and administrative body of the Central American Economic Integration Process and supports the Council of Ministers of Economic Integration of Central America in the establishment of an economic union, by means of gradually implementing and developing a Free Trade Area, a Customs Union, and a Central American Common Market.
