Clothing leads El Salvador exports

The report states that El Salvador ended 2016 with total exports of USD 5,335 million, with maquila exports growing a yearly 3.8% and clothing at a robust 16.5%. "The textile industry had a performance of USD 1,744 million in 2006 and by 2016 it has reached USD 2,521 million, which is almost 47% of total exports," said to "El Salvador" newspaper Patricia Figueroa, director of the Chamber of Textile Industry, Apparel and Free Zones (Camtex).
