Through the new collective trademark farmers expect to position their products on the market with much more protection and promotion, contributing to their economic improvemente as well as contributin for national food security policies.
"All products that are marketed with the new trademark meet certain requirements to ensure their quality: their field crops are agroecological, they avoid chemical or artificial fertilizers and they follow a strict ecological production procedure", explained Moises Quispe, executive director of ANPE Peru.
ANPE Peru promoted the “Fruits of the earth” collective mark application with the support of the Agrarian National University La Molina. As part of the joint effort field inspections are performed to certify that producers comply with good agro-ecological farming practices.
