In September 2025, Costa Rica hosted the Trade & Investment Summit 2025, organized by the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER). The event aimed to bolster the country's status as a regional hub for global business by facilitating connections between local enterprises and international investors.
Over the course of five days, the summit brought together over 1,000 Costa Rican companies and more than 400 international buyers and investors from 45 countries. Participants engaged in over 3,700 business meetings, investment rounds, and networking opportunities, covering various sectors including technology, manufacturing, and services.
The event also featured visits to business parks and keynote talks, providing a comprehensive platform for business development and collaboration.
The summit's multisector approach reflects Costa Rica's strategy to integrate export promotion and foreign direct investment into a unified framework. This integration aims to create synergies that enhance the country's competitiveness and appeal to global markets. By showcasing its stable economy, skilled workforce, and commitment to sustainability, Costa Rica seeks to attract investment projects that generate employment and foster sustainable development.
