Costa Rica´s Country Brand keeps improving worldwide
The value of Costa Rica´s Country Brand, “Esencial Costa Rica”, increased 12 places in the latest Country Brand Ranking 2017-2018, a study carried out by Spanish Bloom Consulting. According to the ranking, Costa Rica is placed in 9th position in Latin America, consolidating itself as the brand with more growth across the region.

“A special mention goes to Costa Rica, who after consecutive years of sitting in 11th position, have successfully managed to get a foothold in the top 10, and now find themselves up in 9th. This is thanks to considerable improvement in Online Performance and tourism receipts growth”, states the study by Bloom Consulting, a company that has been developing nation branding and city branding strategies for various local and national governments around the world since 2003.

"This measurement made by international experts on Country Brands confirms that the strategy of integrating tourism, trade and investment is the correct one for the positioning of Costa Rica”, said Pedro Beirute, president of the Inter-Agency Country Brand and general manager of Costa Rica´s Foreign Trade Promoter (Procomer, for its Spanish acronym).
