A court in Colombia has ruled that the trademark "ORO PAN" is too similar to the trademark "ORO TRIGO" and is likely to cause confusion among consumers.
The two trademarks are for food products in Class 30 of the Nice Classification, which includes bread, pasta, and other bakery products.
The court found that the trademarks are similar in terms of their spelling, pronunciation, and meaning. The word "oro" means "gold" in Spanish, and both trademarks use the word "oro" in the first position.
The court also found that the trademarks are likely to be used in similar commercial channels. Both trademarks are intended to be used for food products, and they are likely to be seen by the same consumers.
As a result of the ruling, the trademark "ORO PAN" will not be registered.
