Dannemann Siemsen is pleased to announce the appointment of new partners to strengthen its Patent practice in both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. The new partners are: Ana Carolina Dib Arinelli, André Hideyoshi Nonaka, Carlos Alberto de Lara Campos Filho, Henrique Zamaro Toledo dos Santos, Lucas Azevedo Barbosa Lima, Pedro Siemsen Bulhões Carvalho da Fonseca, Rachel de Oliveira Ribeiro, Thais Messias Mac-Cormick Piedade, and Vanessa Sette Campos Ahlert. Additionally, Victor Dreyssig Kronemberger has been named a new partner in the Trademark team.

Ana Carolina Dib Arinelli
Graduated in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and in Law from Estácio de Sá University (UNESA), she holds a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedural Law from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Complementing her education, she completed advanced training in European Patent Law at Kador & Partner in Germany, as well as patent specialization programs offered by the Japanese Patent Office (JPO) and the Asia-Pacific Industrial Property Center (APIC).
André Hideyoshi Nonaka
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, he works in the technical consulting area with an emphasis on patents, industrial designs and related lawsuits. He has experience in serving domestic and foreign clients, providing consultancy related to multiple areas of technology, including Automotive Engineering, Metallurgical, Agricultural and Civil, among others.
Carlos Alberto de Lara Campos Filho
Graduated in Electrical Engineering, Carlos works at Dannemann Siemsen focusing on patents, industrial designs, software, unfair competition and lawsuits. He has experience in writing patent applications covering various technologies in the field of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, thus resulting in the protection of these technologies in Brazil and abroad. He also has knowledge about the administrative processing of patents and industrial designs, both in Brazil and abroad. He completed the advanced patent course organised by WIPO and the training course for practitioners specializing in patents organized by the Japan Patent Office (JPO).
Henrique Zamaro Toledo dos Santos
Biotechnological Engineer graduated at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). He has experience in patent litigation, administrative prosecution of patents in Brazil and abroad, mainly in the areas of chemistry, pharmacy and biotechnology, as well as knowledge on access to genetic resources, industrial design and life sciences.
Lucas Azevedo Barbosa Lima
Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), with part of his studies completed at the Technische Universität Berlin (TUB), and a degree in Law from the Universidade Cândido Mendes (UCAM). He works in the Patent Department assisting national and international clients from a wide range of industry segments: Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Petrochemicals, Metallurgy, Agricultural Defence Products, among others.
Pedro Siemsen Bulhões Carvalho da Fonseca
He holds a Master's degree in Intellectual Property from the Franklin Pierce Law Center / University of New Hampshire (USA) and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from PUC-Rio (Brazil), with part of his studies completed at the Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany). He has expertise in patents and industrial designs, as well as extensive experience as a technical consultant in highly complex lawsuits. His focus is on offering a personalised service, with attention to detail, to identify and protect the value of his clients' intellectual creations.
Rachel de Oliveira Ribeiro
Rachel has a degree in Biological Sciences (with a focus on Microbiology and Immunology), M.Sc in Microbiology, and Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Molecular Virology Laboratory of the Department of Genetics at the Institute of Biology, UFRJ. She has extensive knowledge of cell and molecular biology, microscopy, microbiology and virology.
Thais Messias Mac-Cormick Piedade
Biologist with a degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Thaís has a Master's and PhD from the same university's Faculty of Medicine, with extensive knowledge in molecular biology, oncobiology and genetics. She specialises in patents from the Japanese Patent Office (JPO) and the Asia-Pacific Industrial Property Center (APIC).
Vanessa Sette Campos Ahlert
Vanessa holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ). She was holds an MBA in ESG Management from Pontifical Catholic University in Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and successfully completed the International Patent Drafting Training Program developed by WIPO in cooperation with the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI) at WIPO headquarters in Geneva. Vanessa also completed the courses offered by the Brazilian Industrial Property Association (ABAPI).
Victor Dreyssig Kronemberger
LL.M. in Intellectual Property from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law (2024). Postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from PUC-Rio (2022). Graduated in Law from Ibmec (2019). Provides strategic consultancy in the area of intellectual property, involving all aspects relating to the protection and exercise of rights. Manages large trademark portfolios for national and international clients. He acts before the courts in disputes involving trademarks, copyright, software and unfair competition.
