Dr. Martens accuses Shein for trademark infringement

British footwear AirWair International, manufacturer of the famous Dr. Martens boots, has sued Chinese online fashion retailer Shein for trademark infringement.In a complaint filed in California, AirWair accuses Shein and its sister site Romwe for producing direct copies of its signature designs of Dr. Martens and of using images of original Dr. Martens footwear to promote such products in its platforms.
Shein has denied the allegations. The company currently serves over 220 countries and is known for its cheaply priced apparel made directly in China.
