Edy Portal spoke at the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law’s annual meeting, which took place in Washington DC from April 17-19, 2024.

Her session, “Understanding the Intellectual Property Landscape in Latin America from copyrights to trademarks to patents,” featured developments in Latin America and provided details regarding recent changes in local patent rules or procedures and discussed what US practitioners need to manage such a mixed portfolio.

The 2024 ABA-IPL Section Annual Meeting (IPLSPRING) featured more than 20 CLE sessions, networking events, wellness programs and business meetings. It took place at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville Maryland.
