危地马拉加入美国专利商标局加速专利授予计划

在日内瓦举行的世界知识产权组织（WIPO）2025年大会期间，危地马拉在加强其知识产权制度方面迈出了重要一步。美国专利商标局（USPTO）宣布与危地马拉政府达成一项新的双边协议，该协议将允许危地马拉基于USPTO先前批准的专利，加速授予专利。
根据该协议，危地马拉专利机构将加快审查与已获授权的美国专利相对应的申请。此举预计将使寻求更强有力的知识产权保护的危地马拉创新者受益，并鼓励美国企业在危地马拉寻求投资和技术合作。
出席签署仪式的一位危地马拉政府代表表示：“这一新的合作机制将巩固危地马拉作为创新和知识产权驱动型产业竞争目的地的地位。”该协议体现了该国实现知识产权基础设施现代化并使其与国际标准更加紧密结合的更广泛战略。
