El Salvador, promoted and awarded in Madrid
El Salvador promoted its new Country Brand during the 38th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), considered the global meeting point for tourism professionals and which takes place every year in Madrid, Spain.

In coordination with the Embassy of El Salvador in Spain and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Madrid, the Country Brand El Salvador "Grande como su gente" ("Great As Its People") was aimed to attract entrepreneurs and investors through the identity, culture, traditions and gastronomy of the country.

The Country Brand was therefore presented with the strategic concept "An Enchanting Town", a stand that staged Suchitoto, a Northern Salvadoran municipality that has seen continuous human habitation long before Spanish colonization and highlights the pride of being Salvadoran through its cultural beauty.

The stand of El Salvador was selected for the first time as the best one of FITUR 2018 in the "countries" category, wining over other 165 nations. Among the outstanding elements mentioned by FITUR were the professionalism, communication, originality and innovation of the stand and its employees.
