El Salvador seeks investments from India
Ariel Andrade Galindo, Ambassador of El Salvador to India, said that the country is looking to be “more investor-friendly” with new President Nayib Bukele, seeking from India investments in areas such as offshore business services, renewable energy, tourism, aeronautics, textiles and apparel, and light manufacturing.

“We are in the phase of getting to know what incentives would attract investors, and how to maximize our resources for the betterment of our own economy as well expanding our trade relations with other countries through key concepts as blue economy and orange economy”, said Andrade Galindo to Financial Express. As an example of incentives, Andrade Galindo mentioned that El Salvador’s international services law is the only legislation in the region that provides full exemption from income tax for an indefinite period of time, among other benefits.

The aeronautics industry of El Salvador, with more than 30 years of experience, is one of the most powerful in the region, with investment opportunities in commercial aircrafts maintenance and overhaul (MRO), helicopter and corporate aircrafts maintenance, distribution and warehousing services for aircraft parts, component maintenance shops aeronautics ground services, harness system assembly and reconditioning on previous Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) models.
