El Salvador to present its new Country Brand on March 28
Next March 28, El Salvador will inaugurate the first International Investment Forum El Salvador 2017, during which the new Country Brand will be presented. "Within the framework of this forum we will present the Salvadoran new Country Brand", announced on a press conference Sigfrido Reyes, president of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (Proesa, for its Spanish acronym)

"The new brand aims to showcase both the national and international public a new image of the country, as a destination for investments, for tourism and for the promotion of exports," added Reyes.

Last year, the Salvadoran government conducted a Country Brand Consultation Forum, one of its last actions to emphasize the need and importance of a new Country Brand as a key tool for boosting strategic sectors beyond tourism, such as exports and the promotion of local traditions and products.

The new brand, that will replace the concept "Impressive!", was developed by United States based brand consultancy Interbrand. It looks, after a decade, to refresh the national identity against the succesful positioning of other Country Brands of the region such as "Essential, Costa Rica" and "Honduras, we are for you".
