Encouraging technological ventures
In the build up of El Salvador’s Innovation Week 2019, the Salvadoran Association of Industrialists (ASI, fr its Spanish acronym) called for a national strategy that encourages technological ventures. "The fourth revolution is not an isolated issue but a part of a common thread that involves innovation, entrepreneurship, sustainable development and legal security”, said Karla Domínguez, Industrial Intelligence Manager of ASI.

The association argues that regulatory changes are necessary involving educational models, economic incentives, production processes, job displacement and consumers trends. El Salvador is positioned 104th worldwide in the latest World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Global Innovation Index. According to the report, no economies from Latin Americ had been identified as innovation achievers.

From July 1 to 5, 2019, ASI will host Innovation Week 2019, bringing together in San Salvador international experts to learn about the latest trends worldwide.
