Enhancing intellectual property management in Paraguay
The National Intellectual Property Office (Dinapi) of Paraguay and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) of South Korea strengthened cooperation through the signing on July 5, 2019, of a Memorandum of Understanding.

According to the signed document, cooperation for Paraguay will focus on receiving South Korea’s information technology knowledge to develop its automated intellectual property system and secure better management and administration of IP rights.

“This will increase the efficiency of Paraguay’s IP assets such as trademarks, patents and industrial designs”, highlighted Joel Talavera, director of Dinapi. “This process that we are starting will undoubtedly help us improve our system in terms of optimization and transparency for users, without forgetting that the complete elimination of paper is an environmental need”.
