Enrique A. Díaz Ends Two-Year Tenure as President of ASIPI

Enrique A. Díaz, Senior Partner at Goodrich, Riquelme y Asociados, will be ending on Decemeber 2023 its two year tenure as President of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI).

“There is no doubt that this has been one of the biggest responsibilities I have had in my professional life. I will be able to look at myself in the mirror satisfied. It is a responsibility that I have carried with dignity, honor, and happiness,” Díaz stated.

As President of ASIPI, Díaz led the development of new projects such as scholarships for postgraduate studies at the Franklin Pierce Law School in the United States and Moot Courts on Intellectual Property Law that aim to promote the study and specialized research of students and recent graduates of Law Schools or Faculties of public and private universities in Latin America.

An IP Latin American expert, Díaz joined Goodrich, Riquelme y Asociados firm in 1998, finished law school in 2001, and by 2010 became the youngest lawyer to have ever been made Senior Partner in the firm’s history. His practice areas include, but are not limited to: industrial property rights; intellectual property enforcement, infringement, and licensing; intellectual property litigation and protection; intellectual property and international licensing; Internet intellectual property; software licensing; copyright law, licensing, trademark and patent infringement and litigation; domain name disputes; trademark and patent filing and prosecution in Mexico and Latin American countries; trade names, trade dress protection; and sports and entertainment law.
