ENTEL S.A., Bolivia’s leading telecommunications company, and TI Sparkle, a global provider of international services, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly operate and commercialize the South American Bi-oceanic Telecommunications Corridor.
This technological infrastructure aims to strengthen regional connectivity and expand data-transmission capacity between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, driving digital integration across South America.
The agreement — with an initial duration of one year — lays the groundwork for the joint commercialisation of international capacity along the route that links Lurín (Peru), Desaguadero – Puerto Quijarro (Bolivia) and São Paulo (Brazil). This consolidates a strategic axis that integrates South America through high-capacity, high-quality, state-of-the-art networks.
Both companies are coordinating efforts in the promotion, commercialisation, operation and maintenance of this infrastructure, establishing technical and commercial conditions that guarantee high availability, security and quality of service.
ENTEL’s fibre-optic infrastructure stands out by guaranteeing the lowest latency in data transport across the entire region. This competitive advantage makes the route the preferred option for services that demand maximum quality, high speed and minimal response times — such as cloud computing, financial trading, the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial-intelligence (AI) applications, among others.
