Exports from Uruguay to China increased 17.3% between 2013 and 2018

From 2013 to 2018 Uruguayan exports to China increased a 17.3 percent, a growth that allowed the trade balance between the two countries to be favorable for Uruguay in 2018: last year products and services were sold to China for USD 1,684 million while those imported from China to our country totaled USD 1,678 million.

According to the latest report of Competitive Intelligence of Uruguay XXI -the agency responsible for the promotion of exports, investments and country image- frozen beef ranked first among Uruguayan export products to China in 2018 (a total of 43.3 percent and USD 729 million), followed by soybean with 23.3 percent and USD 392 million.
