The Intellectual Property Department admitted the US company opposition and ASESORES DE RESTAURANTES S.A. de C.V. appealed. The National Bureau of Registries confirmed the Department´s admission of the opposition. It held that FRIDAY´S is a notorious and famous mark worldwide from the US and not from El Salvador like mentioned on the application.
