Argentina recently hosted its inaugural Artificial Intelligence Week, a groundbreaking event that brought together speakers from 24 countries for over 30 conferences and panels. The gathering served as a platform for discussions, networking, and thematic sessions designed to inspire fresh ideas, foster strategic partnerships, and reinforce Argentina’s commitment to advancing technologies aimed at improving the quality of life for its citizens.
Throughout the event, innovative use cases were showcased across diverse sectors such as commerce, healthcare, telecommunications, and public services. The event also provided a unique opportunity for international networking, allowing participants to connect with industry leaders and explore collaborative opportunities.
A key highlight of the week was the second edition of the Private Sector AI Roundtable, which featured prominent organizations such as Microsoft, Globant, IBM, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, Meta, Mercado Libre, and Telecom, among others.
In addition, the government is organizing an interministerial roundtable to present the use cases and available tools in Argentina, aiming to clarify the country’s vision and positioning on the matter.
Furthermore, the event hosted the Pitch Day for the IA Transformadora – Artificial Intelligence Innovation Award, a competition aimed at recognizing and encouraging the development of innovative AI-based technological solutions with the potential to positively impact society, the economy, and various industries. During the Pitch Day, the top 10 finalist startups—selected from over 50 submitted projects—were evaluated for their potential to drive meaningful change.
