First campaign against Customs crimes
The coastal town of Santa Rosa, in the region of Lambayeque (northwestern Peru), was site for the first campaign of the Regional Command for Combat against Customs Crimes and Piracy. The event brought together officials of the National Police, Army, Ports Control, Public Ministry and the National Institute for Defence of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi).

So far this year, the Regional Command has seized contraband goods that exceed USD 152,000, a higher figure than last year. During the type of events that took part in Santa Rosa, members of the Command offered service modules about counterfeiting, while also medical and humanitarian aid was given to the neediest population of the town.
