Dean García, executive director of the Nicaraguan Association of Textile and Apparel (Anitec), reported to Estrategia & Negocios that the arrival of Hialpesa will have an investment of approximately USD 15 million and will generate between 500 and 1,000 new jobs.
The company will be located in the Industrial Park Las Mercedes, one of the countries Free Trade Zones.
In addition, three more companies will also install in other Nicaraguan Free Trade Zones: among them are call centers and textiles from Mexico and Central America.
The Free Trade Zone industry has been more dynamic this year than in 2015, with a growth of 5% in value and of 11% in volume. Nicaraguan Free Trade Zones have exported nearly USD 400 million so far in 2016.
