Free and specified advice on copyright

Free and specified advice on copyright
The National Institute for Defence of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) of Peru has made available a free and specialized platform of copyright advice to authors, artists, performers and businessmen linked to creative industries.

This new service will simplify the registry procedures for creative works and therefore increase the use of Intellectual Property tools offered by Indecopi to creators.

The platform goes along with other similar projects launched by Indecopi in the last months, such as copyright guides produced specifically for all kinds of artists, from photographers to musicians. It will allow registrants to apply for their works protections without any observations, highly simplifying the registration procedure. In that regard, with the new tool is possible that the issue of registration certificates is made within five days from the application, although the deadline is 30 days.
