Guatemala present at one of India’s largest fairs

The International Affairs and Trade Fairs Committee of PHDCCI organized the Hybrid Edition of the PHDCCI International Week from March 15-19 2021, wherein each of the weekday focused on India's Economic and Trade relations with one region and deliberated upon the business opportunities and challenges faced by the industry and stakeholders while doing business in such region.

The India-Americas day took place on March 17, 2021, with the participation of Guatemala, which looks to expand investment opportunities with Indian companies. “The Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region is one of the major growth engines of the world,” the PHDCCI highlighted, describing exports growth and the development of industries such as pharmaceuticals, automobiles, textiles, chemicals, machinery and software.

The Indian PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has been working as a catalyst for the promotion of Indian industry, trade and entrepreneurship for the past 115 years. It is a forward looking, proactive and dynamic pan-India apex organization. In the past India has offered cooperation and assistance to Guatemala in priority areas such as agriculture, SMEs, pharmaceuticals, tourism, IT related activities, renewable energy, plantation, disaster management, distant education and supply of satellite imagery for development purposes. In the last years both countries have tried to push relationships to a new level regarding trade and investment agreements.
