Honduras, looking for more Spaniards with Air Europa
By Bufete Mejía

Air Europa will make contacts with tour operators and travel agencies to encourage their arrival in Honduras. "We want not only to achieve a commercial goal, but to promote the country in all its aspects, from its tourist wealth to the social aspect", stated Sue Ellen Chávez, marketing manager of IHT.
Representatives of IHT and the Honduran Country Brand ("Somos para ti") participated on May 6 and 7 of the Madrid Travel Fair, organized by Globalia, Air Europe's parent company. "We had a booth to promote national pride and string along with companies that want to take business opportunities in Honduras", added Chávez.
On April 27 the first flight from Madrid of Air Europa arrived in San Pedro Sula, capital city of Honduras, with more than 180 passengers on board. The airline has sold 80% of its tickets for its next five flights. "This is a recognition for Honduras, that there is a company that believes in our present and our future", said Norman García, Honduran ambassador to Spain.
