How to start up a business in Guatemala and Central America
Eight students of the Acton MBA in Entrepreneurship of the Francisco Marroquín University (UFM) participated in Acton's Shark Tank, a business project part of the course curriculum where participants learn how to start up their business in Guatemala and other countries of the region.

"Acton's Shark Tank is the perfect platform to form business men and women in the analysis of different ideas, the development of a scalable and financially viable model, and the attraction of capital”, said Alejandra Alquijay Aguilar, Director of Operations of UFM’s Acton MBA.

The project is a three-week intensive seminar in which, once the idea is selected, participants receive an expert panel advice on their business finance, legal and marketing models.

On its 2018 edition, the students presented ventures focused on mobile applications, digital marketing for SMEs, custom items, support solutions for road safety and evacuation routes, recycling, processed foods and education.
