ICANN and Internet Society held regional meeting in Nicaragua

"We carry out these tour to reach different audiences in Latin America and the Caribbean, in order to increase interest on key issues related to the critical infrastructure of ICANN does and the Domain Name System (DNS)”, said Rodrigo De La Parra, ICANN’s Vice President, Stakeholder Engagement & Managing Director for Latin America & Caribbean.
ICANN is a nonprofit organization responsible for coordinating the maintenance and procedures related to the namespaces and numerical spaces of the Internet. Its LAC-i event was organized together with the Internet Society (ISOC) -an American nonprofit organization that provides leadership in Internet-related issues- and Nic. Ni, Nicaragua’s Network Information Center and primarily responsible organization for DNS domain name allocations throughout the country.
