Indecopi penalized a Peruvian author and University for copyright infringement
The National Institute for Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) of Peru penalized professor Cesar Acuña Peralta and the César Vallejo University (UCV) for infringing copyright regulations in the book "Education Policy: concept, ideas and proposals".

As reported by the Institute on its website, it was concluded that Acuña "violated the moral right of paternity as he proclaimed himself coauthor of the work" and that the César Vallejo University violated as well the moral right of paternity, as it published the book in 2002 granting its sole authorship to Acuña Peralta rather than to its original author.
