Innovation rising in Argentina

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Argentina announced that in the seventeenth edition of the National Innovation Contest -INNOVAR- 977 projects were presented, a 30% increase compared to the 2021 edition. Agriculture, innovative products, industrial designs, robotics and artificial intelligence were some of the topics covered by the projects.The contest aims to promote national innovation by awarding the winning projects training, promotion, technical and legal support to accelerate the inventions and scale them into a possible market development. The top six winning projects will also have an economic recognition.
The projects are distinguished with a jury based-decision on their social impact and transfer of knowledge and technology to the productive sector with the aim of fostering a national innovative culture and improving the quality of life of the entire society.
Agribusiness, social development, medical equipment, innovative products, food, environment and sustainable development, phytomedicine, robotics, ICT, among others, are some of the areas targeted.
