Internet connection grows in Nicaragua

The State of Broadband in Latin America and the Caribbean 2016 says that between 2010 and 2015 the rate of Nicaraguan households connected to the Internet grew a little more than 30%, a similar figure to those recorded in Bolivia, Guatemala and Honduras.
The increase of Internet penetration in Nicaragua has a lot to do with the increase of mobile Internet in the country: in 2015 about 5% of the Nicaraguan population had access to fixed broadband, while 7.2% had access to mobile connections.
