IP Office seizes counterfeited fragrances from luxury brands
After an investigation carried out by the Paraguayan IP Office (Dinapi), on April 18 port authorities and officials from the Public Ministry opened a container at the Caacupe-mí, located in the city of Asuncion, a strategic location and port of preference for importers and exporters.

In the container nearly USD 2 million of counterfeited perfumes and fragrances were seized, a total of 20,000 units with similar graphics and packages of well-known global brands like Carolina Herrera, Dior, Lancôme and Paco Rabanne.

“The research carried out by Dinapi is a continuous effort in our fight against smuggling and piracy, that’s why this type of operations must be celebrated”, stated Dinapi’s director, Patricia Stanley.
