By Yolanda Pereira, Berkemeyer Attorneys & Counselors

Requirements apply to Class I which includes all household cleaners except caustic and corrosive products. Class II includes antimicrobials, disinfectants (insecticides, acaricides, algaecides), products with a pH between 2 and 13, products with high oxidation/reduction reactions, and bacteria-based biological products. Among other information, labels should include the address of the local toxicological emergency center.
Additional mandatory information include specific precautionary warnings and directions to be included in synthetic surfactants, soaps, petroleum-, ammonia- and glycol-based products, strongly alkaline and acid products, aerosols, flammable and caustic and corrosive products.
