Mayora IP Works With Guatemalan IP Office in Trademark Enforcement

Mayora IP continues to support the Guatemalan IP Office (RPI) in engaging with local stakeholders to help them understand the various legal tools, processes and entities in intellectual property.

The RPI once again invited Mayora IP team members Santiago Mayora and Hugo Rivas Galvez to participate as panelists in a seminar focused on trademarks enforcement.

Trademark enforcement is the process of protecting a trademark from unauthorized use. This can be done through a variety of means, including sending cease-and-desist letters, filing lawsuits, and registering the trademark with relevant authorities.

There are a number of reasons why trademark enforcement is important. First, it helps to protect the brand identity of the trademark owner. Second, it helps to prevent consumer confusion. Third, it helps to ensure that the trademark owner is able to reap the full benefits of their investment in the trademark.
