By Guy José Bendaña-Guerrero & Asociados

The plant, located in Managua, is the sixth of the company but the first to open outside of Mexico. It will produce 173 thousand tons of meat per year to supply both the local market and Central America, Mexico, United States, Japan, China, Russia and, in the future, the European Union.
In the new complex all meat production processes will be performed: feedlots and food plant, plant for slaughter, and deboning and processing facilities with the highest levels of safety, health and environmental care.
The company stated that it will work and contribute with local producers by encouraging farming, giving incentives based on productivity of livestock and financing agricultural packages of seeds, fertilizers and other work inputs.
Sukarne is the fifth largest supplier of beef in North America and the third worldwide in fattening of cattle. Its arrive in Nicaragua was financed through a system of international cooperation.
