Those improvements were highlighted during the International Day of Protection of Personal Data by the general director of NYCE, Carlos Pérez. NYCE is the first Mexican accredited organism for providing services in certification, verification, standardization and training in matters of data protection.
"The certification of companies and organizations in Mexico is a tool that will allow Mexican consumers to have the confidence of knowing that their personal data and confidential information is treated in accordance with the consent of the owner", said Pérez.
On January 26, the Ministry of the Interior published the General Law on the Protection of Personal Data, which obliges companies to improve their practices for the benefit of Mexican consumers.
